A STUDIO FOR THE LITERARY WORLD

We build a website that feels like you.

One-page Squarespace websites for poets, novelists, memoirists, editors, and micro presses. Designed, written, and built by two working writers. Live in four weeks.

Stack of four green hardcover books, with the titles "The House We Carried," "Sleep As Gift," "Inheritance," and "The House We Carried" by Mary Ellison, placed on a white table near a window with sunlight streaming in.
Begin With a Conversation

THE MOMENT BEFORE THE MEETING

Someone important is about to type your name into a search bar.

your name

What they find should confirm what the referral, the manuscript, or the book has already told them. We build that quiet room: your voice, your work, and the proof of your caliber on ground you own.

NO FUNNELS. NO HUSTLE. JUST PROOF.

Four Recent Sites

From focused one-page launches to sites built to grow, each is shaped around the career it serves.

THE WORK

A professional webpage introducing author Dagny Scott, featuring her photo in black and white at the top, a second photo of her in color, and sections about her work and books, with images of her book covers and contact information.

Dagny Scott

Journalist and memoirist. A complex career, clear at a glance.

A webpage for Kitchen Table Writing featuring a header, a section with a picture of a window with a wooden ledge, a pink mug, a notebook, and a plant, followed by sections about women's writing circles, writing support, upcoming retreats with images of nature, and an about section with a photo of a smiling woman at a desk.

Kitchen Table Writing

An editor's practice. A site as personal as the work she does.

A website homepage for Amanda Barusch featuring her name and tagline 'Charting by a New Star.' It includes sections about her work, biography, books, field notes, and recent dispatches, along with subscription options and imagery of her portraits, books, and a woman with a telescope.

Amanda Barusch

Author and scholar. A wide-ranging body of work, gathered into one world.

The webpage for Yawning Fox Press features a dark forest background with greenish tones, an illustration of a fox and a wolf combined in a sketch style, and sections about the press's mission and team. The page includes a call-to-action to join the Fox Den community, with a quote about the soul and wildness.

Yawning Fox Press

A literary micro press. One page at first, then more as the press grew.

Two writers, one workroom.

THE STUDIO

Kirsten and Ron, writers and co-founders of SiteSublime.

We’re Kirsten and Ron, novelists who design, designers who write. We built SiteSublime from a simple conviction: a literary website should feel as unique as the person, practice, or press behind it.

We know what it is to spend months or years making something, then face the strange vulnerability of presenting it to the world. That understanding shapes the way we work: closely, collaboratively, and with care for what has been entrusted to us.

We take a small number of projects at a time, and we don’t do hustle, for you or for ourselves. Neither do the sites we build. Every client works directly with both of us. The site you’re reading is one of ours: built with the process we outline below, on one page, in our own style and voice.

HOW IT WORKS

Every site, every tier, begins with you, not a template gallery.

A couple of calls, then one gathering of everything that matters, all in a single place that we set up for you. We build from there. Four weeks from the Brand Voice Interview to handover.

  • The Discovery Call

A call to learn where you are along the path: querying, launching, hanging a shingle, founding a micro press, and what the site must do for you.

  • The Brand Voice Interview

A recorded conversation that captures how you talk about your work, your world, and the people your site must welcome. Every word of your site is drawn from it. You never face a blank intake form.

The copy is included at every tier, built from your own words and finished by ours.

  • The Content Studio

One calm place to gather what the site needs from you: your mood board, your photos, testimonials if you have them, a small icon chosen with our help, the legal policies your site may need, and a few small things besides. This is all the homework there is.

  • The Build

All of it, composed into a page shaped by the depth of your career. You sign off on the opening before we build the rest. Then a gathered round of polish, and you're live.

One page. Shaped around the work.

OUR PACKAGES

Every package includes the whole experience: the interview, your look, your copy written from your own words. What changes is how much career the page must hold.

01 · One Clear Focus – $1,800

For a page built around one clear focus: a first book, a single editorial practice, or a micro press just getting started. Typically four to five sections covering the work, who you are, your mailing list, and how to reach you. What you need, no more, no less.

02 · A Wider Scope – $2,400

For a page that needs to hold more than one strand of work: a new book alongside essays, or coaching alongside editing. Typically six to eight sections, arranged so each part has its place and nothing crowds.

03 · A Full Body of Work – from $3,200

For a page that needs to hold the full breadth of your work: a shelf of books, several professional roles, or a full range of offers. We determine the scope together, then give each part its place without losing sight of the whole.

A note for micro presses: start with Package 01. Submissions, individual book pages, and stores are quoted separately.

A note for authors who sell direct: stores are quoted separately.

Every Site Includes
